I was just going to say this. I understand people saying "quit it with the remakes, make new games!" and I'm fine with that too, but endless spinoffs is just another type of bullshit. Either make a completely new game, or update one of the ones that countless fans have been begging for (VI, VII, etc.).

Yeah, I guess that's certainly possible, but it seemed (from the comments I read) that people were taking issue with ESPN airing the tournament at all, at which point the poker comparison is again relevant. But I get what you're saying.

In all fairness, his name is Spanish for "trash." That's a pretty good indication of a troll account ;)

As someone else has pointed out, neither is poker. I would argue that certain games use a lot more of your abilities (reflexes, ability to multi-task, quick-thinking, etc.) than poker does, so I think it's fair that if the latter can be aired, so too can the former.

Yup, good point. While I don't consider golf much of a sport (while some of the younger guys are genuinely good athletes, ala Tiger Woods, a lot of them are pudgy, middle-aged dudes who can't even carry their own clubs), everyone seems happy with it being all over the television. Same thing with poker, like you said.

Who is saying there's no difference? While I'd hardly call the difference "mind boggling" (and I too have played games since the mid-eighties and am artistic), I thought that in these extremely tedious arguments that always break out, console fanboys usually agreed that PC graphics were superior? And mods are great,

Yeah, one year later. How long was the Xbox 360 around? Do you remember the launch games for the system? The launch features? At that point, plenty of people were saying "man, glad I held off on buy an "HD" system; both this new Xbox and the PS3 have NOTHING to offer me." Nine years later, the Xbox 360 and PS3 both

In their defense, every article on the XB1 is basically a game of "let's see when the Sony/PC fanboys show up and flame the Xbox." So maybe it was just a preemptive strike?

So then who is?

How is league finish a better indicator than play against the best teams from other leagues? I'd argue quite the opposite. I think most teams, given the choice, would take the Champions League trophy over that of their own league all day. Besides, RM beat Barcelona for the Copa del Rey, and Atletico Madrid for the CL

So to recap, a German team that eked out victories against teams like Algeria and the US, and who looked to be likely to lose to Argentina (until Sabella lost his mind at halftime, and switched out Argentina's best player to that point), and who would've lost to Argentina had they converted one of the many better

I'm not really sure that's true, and as an American, I take issue with this article as a whole (in case you're worried we all think this way). I'm assuming what you really mean to say is "Americans that watch football/soccer as a tertiary sport never sound quite right, nor do they make as solid points as people to

The Marvel VS Capcom games have always been (somewhat) controlled chaos, so you're not alone in having issues figuring out what's happening.

Yeah, I'm familiar with sunken cost, but I also already had a regular Lugia, so it made more "sense."

No joke, I spent 3 years getting a shiny Lugia. Granted, I didn't spend 3 years CONSTANTLY trying, but I started when SoulSilver came out, stopped after a couple months, and started earlier...this year, I think? Finally got it a few months ago.

One of my favorite games of all time. Magus's casting animation is still one of the coolest casting animations ever (if not THE coolest)!

Well...pretty much the exact same situation popped up last gen, with the PS3. Now, I know that the PS3 is technically slightly more powerful than the 360, so the analogy isn't exact (because the PS4 has an edge in power over the XB1 overall), but not only were the "ugh lazy devs!" complaints the same last gen, but

While you could certainly be right, equating what happened with Brazil to playing Argentina isn't a good comparison.

I think it's probably important to point out a couple things. First off, Brazil isn't/wasn't one of the two best teams in the world, if you're going by FIFA's rankings (which are definitely off, but that's a different debate)—Spain was #1, Germany #2. Brazil was favored in this Cup almost entirely due to home field

I dunno, it seems pretty realistic to me, if the news is true.
