Oh that's right!
Oh that's right!
Oh, not a PS4 exclusive? SONY JUST LOST E3!!!
Thank you! Someone with some sense.
If that is the case, doesn't it scream out "badly optimized port" to you? From a technical perspective, there's no reason for the PS3 to outperform the XB1. Fanboyism aside, this sounds like dev incompetence more than anything else.
I guess I'm the only one that feels bad for an impoverished country in which many didn't want the World Cup in their country (because they can't afford it), but who also care about soccer more than pretty much any other place in the world?
Well, I've got an Xbox One and PS3/360/Wii, so while the Wii U is finally starting to amass a decent library (well, decent by my standards, I should say), it still doesn't really have a killer app that has forced my hand.
Yup, this is the crux of the argument. Soccer still isn't really the U.S.'s thing (too bad), so while some kids grow up playing it in organized league, you can't find it in a lot of high schools, and there are a lot of national sports programs that don't include it.
You should be able to get prescription versions now:
One can argue that in some ways, being smaller can be an advantage in soccer (in the same way that while it's generally better to be taller in basketball, small really quick guys run all over the place creating havoc). I would say that it's certainly been something that has helped Messi in some ways (I can't speak to…
Well, they're available with and without prescription. However, they do claim that the lenses make some sort of adjustment (not prescription, but clarity-based, I think). I also have 20/20 vision, but they don't both me in the way you're saying, unless I'm looking at something that isn't a screen, and is far away…
I've tried the Gunnars at night (specifically for this reason), and they don't seem to enhance my vision at all. I've never used driving glasses though, so I don't know how comparable they are.
Honestly, I assumed that that was the case, but since I couldn't install it here, I didn't want to make the assumption out loud.
I've never used F.lux personally (and can't try it now, as I'm on a work computer), but it seems like it would work similarly. The only real difference is that the glasses are going to make your monitor less bright/appear more evenly lit at all times of day, whereas F.lux is going to adjust lighting differently at…
I think this is the biggest problem. A lot of Americans (American here) have seemingly embraced this stereotype, and just blindly regurgitate it without actually giving soccer a chance. Like any other sport, it's a lot more fun 1) when you have a decent understanding of what's going on, 2) when you're watching it with…
For people who find that their eyes get sore staring at a screen all day (be it for work or gaming), I highly recommend the Gunnar glasses. I have a pair that I wear at work all the time, and they're very light/comfortable, and do a great job at reducing the eye strain I get.
While I agree that there are definitely soccer nerds that make talking about the sport unbearable, so too are the assholes who come out of the gate spouting nonsense about how nothing ever happens in soccer, or about how whatever they just saw (someone flop, an own goal, time-wasting, etc.) is why "Americans will…
I'm not sure that makes much difference to his point. Goals in soccer are probably a bigger deal than the majority of home runs (obviously you can make an argument that a 9th inning grand slam off one of the best closers in the game is bigger than a 2nd minute goal against the worst team in the Premier League), but…
In all fairness, it might not have been your type of game. The thing about Crackdown was the leveling up to get more and more insane abilities.
The more I see of this game, the more excited I get. This looks like a blast.
Nah, I was mostly just complaining because I want a Metroid game, NOW. But yeah, the Other M not withstanding, I've never been let down with a Metroid game, so if they're taking their time, I assume it's for a good reason. I was initially really skeptical of Retro/a first-person Metroid, but they blew me away, so I…
