Well, I think that's the thing. I'm a pretty rational person, which is (in my opinion) why I'm not particularly religious. The thing is, the reason it's easier to say, "okay, it's possible" to a religion like Christianity or Judaism is that we're thousands of years removed from its beginnings, so we can't know for

Speaking only for myself, I find the anti-religion talk irritating because it has become "cool" to mindlessly bash religion on the internet.

? Broken how? I'll admit that it was IMPROVED after they patched the game, but again, and I didn't have many problems with it (aside from occasionally following an enemy of a cliff) to begin with. Maybe we weren't playing the same game?

Interestingly enough, I had a similar issue with Monster Hunter's controls. It felt like Dark Souls to me in some ways, but worse. I guess it's just what you get used to. Once I got used to Dark Souls' controls, they felt like they made perfect sense, but I guess that isn't true for everyone.

Well, maybe I just don't understand your point of reference for calling the controls horrible. There's an auto-lock feature that allows you to toggle between enemies which makes it really easy to choose who you're attacking, so I assume it's unrelated to that. Your character has pretty realistic "weight," and moves

That's weird, I thought it controlled pretty well. Then again, I played on the 360; did you play on the PC? I'll admit, you don't control like a typical "videogame character" (in that you can't run 90 mph, jump 10 feet, etc.), what you can do is relatively realistic and responsive...

I totally agree with this. I liked Fable 3 enough while playing it, but it definitely felt like a step backwards from 2. Fable was never really a "hardcore" series, but it felt like Molyneux actively tried to make 3 as casual a play as possible. Getting rid of the menus was really lame (so instead of menus, I a room

Yeah, the games look about 3x as good in 3D; Link Between Worlds is phenomenal in 3D, and the 3D portions of Pokemon X/Y are pretty great too. Not using the 3D is definitely missing out, if you ask me.

When the 3DS starts having access to SNES games on the virtual console, it will be pretty close to my ultimate gaming machine.

Yeah, sadly I think a lot of times attraction is the difference between "OMG that guy is such a creep!" and "tee hee hee he thinks I'm cute!" It's a shame, I think, because some people definitely get the short end of the stick in that situation.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised to see that Mega Gengar was allowed in this tournament.

Yeah, after I wrote my response, I was wondering about that. I hadn't seen a date specified in the article so I assumed it was within the last few days. I then realized there was a decent chance that it was before Pokebank hit the US.

Oh no, I don't debate that, I was just making sure you were aware that they still existed. Frankly, I refuse to play against other players for exactly the reason you just detailed; the pvp metagame in Pokemon takes a lot of the fun out of it, in my opinion.

This is a nerdy thing to point out, but Darkrai is definitely legitimately available now that Pokemon Bank is around; I got mine a couple years back (from a Mystery Gift I believe? can't remember), and it's sitting in my party currently in Pokemon Y. So your opponent wasn't necessarily playing dirty.

I'm not condoning the lack of 3D playback, but Sony doesn't have it either in the PS4, so I'm guessing they just figured people were in the "it's a fad" camp, and in the race to send out their consoles as soon as possible, this got left on the table. It's b.s., but hopefully it's coming soon.

While I agree that this stuff should've been included to begin with, this is always one of the dangers of being an early adopter. For example, where the hell is the 3D bluray support? Realistically, I don't have a lot of friends yet on the XB1, but I do have a lot of 3D blurays I want to play.

Don't do it, man; there's no room for being reasonable when it comes to this discussion.

In all fairness, the 360 version isn't being developed by the same team as the One version, so maybe there IS a delay on that one? (there probably isn't, but I figured I'd play devil's advocate)

Well...I have an XB1, and will buy a good Sakaguchi JRPG on the console, so...I'm fine with this.

Does it hamper functionality? Well, you'll sometimes find that you don't benefit from 2D perspective as much as you would 3D (giving you more depth of field for whatever you're playing), but it won't be too much of an issue.
