"How about a driving test designed to fail incompetent drivers"
@Prawo Jazdy and The Velocity Trumpets: I feel like Maryland drivers are especially prone to the dickery, but maybe it's nationwide.
@Prawo Jazdy and The Velocity Trumpets: I cannot STAND when people get mad at me for flashing my lights or a light tap of the horn. I'm just letting them know I'm there and it's the only way for me to ask them to move over. Usually I'll do it when there's a car going the same slow speed in the next lane so I can't…
I love the smell of burnout in the morning... The smell, you know that rubber smell... Smells like, victory
Is there a SHO slated for 2012?
@Optixtruf: Whatever it is that she's wearing, it makes a good looking skinny girl look like she's got some rolls. Just about the most unflattering thing I've seen recently.
Was this at all related to the Pheonix song used in the commercial?
Zondarnit!
@aluminum und stoke: Toyota has done pretty much the same thing with the Yaris. Say what you will about it, but I find the sedan to be a great little car. At 6'4" I could never own one, but when I drive my roommate's after a night of drinking (her not me) I find it to be a great little go-kart daily driver.
It's like a slow, boring, bloated mother duck leading her spritely, excited little ducklings across a road.
@HurtsSoGood: Good ideas. Old cars would be SOL but eventually would be phased out anyway.
I agree with banning texting in theory, but in practice, I don't want to get pulled over for skipping songs on my ipod/iphone because it looks like im texting.
@GTRbrian: I guess I should've expanded on my idea a little more. I like the glass wall between house and garage, not the exterior walls. I think with certain cars and garages, it could be a really cool thing to see when you're eating your cornflakes at you kitchen table.
@Cheeseslap: I'm of course referring to enthusiasts such as ourselves. I'm not talking everyday McMansion garages. I'm talking clean, well maintained garages with nice cars in them. Basically the kind of garages at [www.garagejournal.com]
This actually brings up a good question. Why do more people not use glass walls on their garage? Or at the very least, big ass windows?
@P161911 probably shoudn't have: Well that's pretty much how Maryland cops operate, but I'm wondering strictly from a law standpoint. If this law were in MD it would technically be illegal to travel at any speed other than the exact limit, even though you would never get a ticket for 5 over.
I'm all for this kind of law, but does that mean, legally, that you are only allowed to drive exactly the speed limit in the fast lane?
Cue the usual "I can't trust any old dude to do an engine swap" comments. I'll stick to my usual thought of "$40k for a car you can't (easily) get a car loan for is just out of the question."
Can blue chalkboard paint be the new green chalkboard paint?
@The Stig's American Cousin: Fog lights have always been my best indication at night. I dread the day the MSP starts using cars with foglights.
