I’m with you. While I also found Returns to be a bit of a mixed bag of good ideas, but not executed as well as it could have been, that space shuttle scene is hands down Superman at his most super. The simple statement about flying being the most safe way to travel, the awe and loud reaction of the baseball, him

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the Superman march throughout my ~4 decades on earth, and I still get an excited feeling.

In an world so full of strife and bitterly contested opinions about Superheroes and their movies, can we all agree at least on one thing: the John Williams Superman theme is the best superhero music theme, like, ever?

I’ve seen the original. I liked it. That has nothing to do with how much I may or may not like the Fox one. I can make my own damned choices, thank you very much. Its not a competition. Liking or not liking this remake will not dimish the value of the original. You need to learn how to detatch your ego from your

Seriously, hardcore raiding was a commitment beyond joining a street gang. I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody, because DKP is one hell of a drug. Inter-guild drama and fights were the worst, and guild officers abused their power too.

And I think the LARGEST missed opportunity that Supgergirl has now made is not having cast VanDervoort as Power Girl from Earth-2 (sans boob-window please). She could have been a guiding influence to Kara, AND the nod to her Smallville role as Kara. It just feels like something that could have been amazing!

Speaking as someone who only read the first book, years ago, I’m amused at how incomprehensible that sentence is to me.

That was my first thought when I read this. Combine The Oracle, Mia, and the demon into a single character. That way the same character can reoccur several times in the series. I would be OK with that change. It would probably go over better with a general audience than the exposition dump that happens later in the

I just rewatched it this afternoon because I knew the haters would be coming out of the wood work to tell me how wrong I am (and oh boy have they). The trucker scene was essentially protecting the girl, but yeah pretty vindictive.
Superman causes no specific damage to anything EXCEPT when he tackles Zod after he

Steven Amell was at the Superbowl party I was at and I ended up chatting him up for a bit (aka fanboy-ing). He was really nice and seemed like such a normal grounded dude. After the game it turned into a dance party and he was dancing with his wife (i think they’re married) and doing shots with everyone. Just a fun

No way. Hat isn’t era appropriate. And the mustache is not a Teddy stache. Further, Teddy wore spectecles, not a monocle.

i look forward to future spy movies where they discover the disc they were looking for was on the person’s watch face the whole time.

Never miss a chance to apply some immaterial pedantry.

Phasma is basically Boba Fett. A character with a cool costume and a couple lines who doesn’t actually do anything.

It’s also the only thing they’ve got to really distinguish their cinematic endeavours from Marvel at this point. Anything else they try to do will just have everyone screaming “They’re just copying!!!!”

I doubt the movies are going to have something like Crisis of Infinite Earths just to integrate the movies and TV shows. I also don’t think they’ve learned any lessons.

I agree. But going for the no-prize here: Would Barry being scared that Turtle would slow him down thereby affecting his phasing powers be a good enough excuse? Just wondering

Maybe they'll forget they have superpowers and fight bad guys using the power of song?

It’s a speedster problem. If speedsters were to always use their powers, they’d be very nearly unstoppable. That makes narratives tricky in the extreme.

His audiobooks have been pretty fun, and he’s easily one of my favourite incarnations. I just adore his charming blend of super positive sad puppy pacifism. He’s the Doctor I like the Doctor being.
