At least it might give us Arya posing as Littlefinger in Season 8 to maintain control over Robin Arryn and the Vale.

Exactly, wtf all these people acting like they’re experts on dragon zombie science.
Interesting as he TOUCHES Viserion, rather than just raises him, as he does with all the dead at Hardhome.
I woke up wondering this: Is Baby Sam “owed” to the Night King? Would that come up as a plot point during the big battle? I’m scared for that cute kid.
Good point. The last time we saw him touch a creature’s head was when he turned a baby into a white walker. Plus it had blue crystal eyes rather than the sunken blue glow of the dead creatures. Would also fit thematically with the dragons being Dany’s ‘babies’.
I thought it looked like big bags of gas. Either way it looked like his fire breathing days were over, but I may be applying logic where it doesn’t belong. I’m expecting the wight dragon to breathe some ghostly magic ice fire. For one thing if it breathes actual fire Night King won’t be able to resurrect the dead for…
I’m thinking the same thing, and am having the same reaction to the thought. It would be so damned cheap and a near total waste, BUT it would almost make the Winterfell storyline make sense. There are so many things about that plot line which is nonsensical, but the one that probably drives me the craziest is that all…
“What I found ridiculous about the episode was that those dead are indeed undead. They can’t swim, and are wearing furs and armor. I’m puzzled as to why when they went into the water, they didn’t just walk right out again.”
A distinction I think it is worth making is Viserion wasn’t raised by a white walker but by the Night King himself, so I’m not sure if he’s just a dragon ice zombie, or a dragon white walker, which would be (I would think) different.
The Wall(mart).
Who fucking cares..honestly.
Dead Bath & Beyond
It’s obvious Sansa is gonna kill Littlefinger, right? I think Arya is fucking with her and Littlefinger and at the same time testing Sansa to see if she’s brave enough to kill Littlefinger herself. I just can’t imagine the writers being so bad as to transform Arya from the clever, vengeful, and still-Starkian girl she…
It was Lord Glover of Deepwood Motte (North) and Lord Royce of Runestone (The Vale) in that scene, and Lord Royce makes that point. The Vale’s allegiance is to Sansa.
It makes sense. Jon’s force was mostly Wildlings, and people overcoming thousands of years of prejudice against them is hard. Furthermore Lord Royce’s…
I wonder what people expect of the show in this regard?
Alright, let’s tackle this. Westeros (including Targs and Starks) is quite obviously ruled by male primogeniture. This means, that for the Targs (and the Starks), the line of succession goes through the monarch’s eldest son and his line.
This means that Aerys -> Rhaegar -> Jon. Dany only THINKS she’s the lawful…
And, shit, while I’m complaining about how rushed and ridiculous that last episode was: Jon nonchalantly tosses off about how Bran sees the army of the dead marching on Eastwatch. Parse that for a second. Bran, the brother Jon has thought has been dead for years now who has finally returned home. Jon has no interest…
I would suspect they’re going to drag out the Littlefinger-Arya-Sansa dance for much longer, except they’re really pressed for time and at this point Littlefinger is a loose thread that needs to be clipped.
I very much expected Jorah to show up on Dragonstone and wind up convincing Danaerys that Jon’s a swell guy, since Jon’s pal Sam is the one who carved all that grayscale off. Since that didn’t happen, no clue what he might offer narratively.
Jon (or Jahaerys) is explicitly NOT a bastard, but rightful King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm.
