Ermahgerd take your friggin’ star.
Am sorry they did that to you? I am. Am I surprised? Well, what do you think?
I absolutely love the mythos of Homeworld. I hope this ends up happening and happening good.
She’d likely be the only one left alive after the events of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 who would live long enough to have witnessed all of that. Being integrated with one of the three Progenitor hyperdrives was supposed to grant effective immortality.
I’m reminded of how the car gods told me you should never go to one of those places. I drove by my then local and then still open Jiffy Lube. The ‘J’ on their sign had gone out. That was the one and only sign I needed.
When you’re talking about an organization designed to be as complex a bureaucracy as humanly possible, only a lawyer could run it without going entirely mad.
That guy looks like he’s got some kind of elaborate mask on. I’m getting Mrs. Doubtfire vibes and it’s creeping me the hell out.
Toyota basically turning into Shark Tank for anything other than Camrys, Corollas, and Tacomas is getting a little weird for me. They’re so risk adverse that it hurts. For decades, they just made the most boring ass beige cars that were popular because they were inoffensive and reliable like stonework. Now that’s not…
If I’m very lucky, 2023 will be the year of massive oversupply and I’ll be able to score something nice with tons of incentives!
Yeah, probably. I just hope it doesn’t take *too* long. An average transaction price of $45k or whatever it is now isn’t sustainable and is likely accelerating the burst of the auto loan debt bubble.
I’m having trouble understanding why people don’t get this. In the *price segment,* really all there is, is the Maverick and the Santa Cruz, and midsize pickups really are a whole lot larger.
Not that I’m aware of.
My wild-ass-guess puts buyers of hybrid Mavericks basically at “anybody who wants/needs a new car but isn’t super picky about what it is.” They’re a fairly decent answer to almost every use case. They can move a reasonable number of people comfortably (relatively, probably), they’ve got room for crap or overpriced…
I fully agree with you. I’m inclined to believe that this environment is only like it is because the chip shortage affects every manufacturer. Once it eases, any manufacturer that doesn’t work to push their prices down somehow is going to have their lunch eaten by the ones that do.
I mean, everybody has issues when they roll out a new model. That said, a lot of Ford’s issues really feel like a combination of rushing and building things to a cost, which makes me sad. Luckily, the bones of the Maverick really aren’t all that new, so it’s probably going to be better than your average brand new…
I agree. An AWD hybrid drivetrain for that thing would print money for people in the Northeast. Besides; put snow tires on it and it’ll probably go through almost anything and get respectable mileage while it’s at it.
I suppose you’ve gotta make lemonade out of lemons. Especially if they’re Nazi lemons.
I’ve sunk a few hours into a couple different versions of this on PC. It’s not amazing, but it’s kind of fun in a zen sort of way. Im not sure how well something like this would work on the Switch given that it’s very pointy and clicky, but I’d definitely recommend picking it up on Steam or something when it goes on…
I…oh.
I never knew that King Ranch was actually a place until just now and, really, I don’t care. Thing is, no matter the name’s provenance, if it’s not a commonly known thing, you’ve gotta look at what it looks like to the average idiot. To them, it looks super-pretentious and fairly typical of the…
