Sounds like you need to recalibrate your machine. Additionally, if a mac (within warranty) loses more than 50% of it's capacity within a year, you are entitled to a replacement.

The difference is the lack of front panel glass. There is not separate glass panel attached to the bezel in addition to the screens panel. So a thinner glass surface reflects less light.

Yeah, that side of things is very unattractive. But this machine is a best in terms of Editing. And as far as productivity, you can run 4-5 webpages side to side - or the equivalent stock broker.. can replace as many as 3 screens with one laptop. (as soon as the necessary programs are updated)

but if you're putting more than 16Gb in a laptop, of course you need to sacrifice other aspects. with 2 slots, even the standard MBP wouldn't suffice.
