I always thought if you pierced a hole in the base of the bottle, that would allow air into the back.. like a foam that let's air in gently, but not ketchup out.

Yeah, that's one route, but from what I can tell, it would literally be the same width (640) and just a longer height. Meaning you app would look completely normal centred to the bottom or top of the device, and when you use the app, the additional 200 x 640 pixels would in worst case be one black bar, or best case…

But there are some phones without flashes, and front facing cameras.. GPS, screen resolution, proximity sensors.. Gyro.. There are many changes.. (not even mentioning performance required to run modern day apps..

So pretend the aspect ratio is the same.. And the front real estate that is currently just black or white bezel is filled with 2 additional and separate screens (nearly touching the main screen) all apps stay the same.. The phone doesn't change size, but you have more screen real estate.. Why is that bad?

Apart from the artist no, but a lot of online videos are in 4:3. It's more to do with not outcasting older formats.

I dunno.. I wouldn't mind a shutter button on the right of the device. Any time I hold the phone in a camera stance, (landscape with volume on top right) my middle finger covers the camera.. So unless they move the camera.. I dunno.
