I really hope another series as great and educational as that one comes around for kids/teens. I'm pretty sure a lot of my appreciation and respect for other cultures comes from reading so many of those Royal Diaries books.

OMG ME TOOOOOOOOOO

Hearted for the reference to Nzingha.

I just feel weird because I feel old even though I shouldn't. I'm 21 and he's 25 and I feel like I should have more experience than I actually do.

I think he's attractive and we seem to have a lot in common. Also, anyone who's not scared off by the darkest depths of my tumblr is worth a shot. Hopefully he won't get the wrong idea from all the sexual frustration I express there, though. I mean, I really want to lose the v-card, but I don't want to rush into a

Love will find you unexpectedly.

Well we follow each other on tumblr, so he's seen the worst of my fangirly intensity. Also, we already sort of had a date/casual meet-up because we happened to be in the same area where we got all the general getting to know each other stuff out of the way. I guess I'm just insecure about potential relationships

I just came to an alarming realization- I have no clue how to act on a first date. I got asked out tonight for my first ever date that has no ambiguity. Halp?

So, I just got asked out on a date...? I don't know quite how to deal with this. It's never really happened before. Also, tumblr courtship is weird.

Ugh, I've been dealing with this all my life. I have a terrible temper and have only really learned to control it the last several years. I'm bipolar, and as a child I didn't really know or understand it and I could switch from happy to blazing mad at the drop of a hat. Even worse, I often cry when I'm really mad,

It probably helps that it was a flower girl dress from my uncle's wedding. Flower girls are hardly known for being sexy. XD

I suspect that the kids that are allowed to be kids in pageants and actually look and act like kids do better than the oversexualized, over-madeup kids. Here's a picture from my pageant days and I think I still looked like a little girl rather than a little woman. I got first runner-up in that pageant- not bad at all,

Seriously, when the kids aren't oversexualized and allowed to just have fun with it, the whole thing becomes much more enjoyable. Have you seen Little Miss Sunshine? Despite her doing her routine to "Superfreak", that was the best pageant talent routine hands-down.

Exactly! I feel sorry for those kids on the show that genuinely enjoy doing pageants but their parents ruin the fun. Some of the parents actually seem to be going about it all in the right way, though, like that couple that say RuPaul is one of their inspirations. XD

It's the parents, not the pageants. I did a few pageants as a kid and it was fun for me. My parents weren't psychotic and didn't try to turn me into something I'm not, which I think is why I had a much better experience then a lot of these kids. My mom just dressed me up, made me feel like a princess, and it was an

That sounds fantastic. I love guys with style and actually know how to dress up. People in general are just so casual nowadays and I know way too may guys with no sense of style at all.

I think it's a prank, and a pretty funny one too (but that's my sense of humor talking).

Oh wow, is anyone else getting a "Beauty and the Beast" vide from this? Seal needs to control his temper!

I think it's hilarious that it was given to her boyfriend. Great prank, whoever thought of it.

I smell a band name.
