More than likely this will just host P2P servers for each game then track the character specific stats on some central server.

I already own a nice gaming PC. So I don't really think I'm the market Valve is after with this.

That being said if they'd offer some sort of cheap streaming solution I could easily stream games from my PC to my living room entertainment center then I might be interested.

If I had any children I wouldn't buy them a PS4 or Xbox One. A 400-500 dollar device primarily marketed to adults. A teen, maybe. But not a child. Sure those systems have components marketed for children but the general focus isn't. Not enough to justify the purchase for a child alone.
