I like a connected universe just as much as the next guy, but c'mon. Everyone quit acting like your mental health has been shattered because there's a standalone space movie.

Retropie is *perfectly* legal, per existing US Supreme Court precedent.  As is legally backing up games you own.  And getting (m0st) games legally isn’t that hard, given the internet is a thing.

How the fuck is making game guides for three-decade-old games “pulling one over on Nintendo”? If they wanted to make money off of official guides, they should’ve done so back then. Also, they did, and they’re out of print. How does this in any way harm Nintendo?

PS4 games retail at a lower price than their PS5 counterpart.

But for most, Aliens: Fireteam Elite doesn’t bring enough new ideas to the genre to warrant the $59 entry price.

It’s clear though that this isn’t Sonys problem. While they may have made it more difficult for upgrades and save transfers to work cross gen. It’s definitely on the devs that the process is such a mess. There are a couple games that work as seamlessly on the PS4/5 as they do on Xbox. Jedi: Fallen Order being one such

Well, “amazing games I can’t get anywhere else” is what keeps me coming back to Sony consoles since the PS1. Microsoft has only rarely had titles that can compete on the same level. If you’re not into, like, shooters or driving it’s been pretty slim pickings. To this day there’s really only been one Xbox game that I

Devil’s Advocate: “we make smarter acquisitions”

To me this feels more monopolistic. They are buying a decently sized publisher with a history of releasing their games multiplatform. That is quite a bit different that Sony buying a dev like naughty dog after working with them exclusively/building them up over decades.

There’s a difference between 1st party games developed in house and buying a studio that’s making a game for multiple platforms and stopping the production of games on other platforms.

You seriously believe that ES6 is going to be on Playstation? That is not what Microsoft spent all that money to do. I hate the situation. I appreciate Pete’s apology. I also don’t blame Microsoft for doing it, they got slaughtered on first party exclusives last gen. It was a smart business move for them. I don’t see

Ah, yes, lets compare those games made by Sony’s first party studios who have been making games exclusively for Sony for ages to a game made by Bethesda, a studio that, until not that long ago, made their games multiplatform.

I’m an xbox stan (I just hate a lot of the decisions Sony does with their consoles as well as just having a chip on my shoulder from the N64/Gamecube days on the playground) but there is a difference between what Microsoft is doing and what Sony is doing. Sony exclusives were never coming to other consoles. they were

What? Those games are made by Sony studios. Bethesda was a 3rd party studio making games that were multiplatform for decades. Even if Xbox owns them now they were not XBOX games and those games would have 100% hit Playstation consoles.

It is clear you do not understand the entire point of this article.

I own both consoles, so I’d hardly consider myself a fanboy, but Microsoft’s acquisition took dozens of IPs that have been on Playstation for decades and suddenly said “no more.”

I don't disagree with you. What I'm saying is that it's possible to call for less hyperbole because it's stupid to be so hyperbolic without having to bring in the many real life problems as a measuring stick/means to gatekeep this discussion.

When you’re bringing in such a vast scale, yes video games and discussions about them are all insignificant compared to real issues. I mean, holy shit, does someone actually have to say “in the context of video games, the entire theme of this website”? One that often uses colloquialisms and hyperbole given it’s a

This game is getting pushed hard this month, huh? Free on PS Plus. Pretty sure it is or was on sale on Steam. And maybe on Epic Games? I had never heard of it and now I’m seeing it everywhere.

Been playing the F outta this since it got added to gamepass.  Really fun shooter that is player friendly.
