That’s on them, not the developers NOT talking about the details.

If we were touting only the procedural generation, sure, fair claim. That said, NMS is so much more than that. While the pg was the tenet for what the game was, it now sits as a relatively secondary foundation that has grown into so much more.

Exactly this. Their excitement at the outset is similar, but Sean’s team has made good on their promises 10x over to deliver something that not only met the original vision, but has exceeded in every possible way. The work tirelessly to build this vision, while Peter simply moves on.

I’d say putting in a more recent timeline would up the stakes and return the series back to its stealth roots. Having automated weapons, or weapons with ammunition reserves would place a firm hold on how a player would need to progress. Make too much noise, or leave bodies about and you’ve effectively put yourself on

You can’t base your pickups on color, at all.

The Evil Within/The Evil Within 2 wouldn’t warrant any redaction, so I’m not sure either.

Placed the PS4 disc in the PS5, the Cyberpunk 2077 splash page pops up. Directly to the right of the “Play” button is a PS Store tile that says (PS5 Version) “Free Upgrade”. I clicked that, and it downloaded. Done!

Your account on the process is atrociously exaggerated.

The difference is Sony is curating experiences & studios that are already producing experiences exclusively for their platforms, and not pulling companies and their portfolio of IPs off the table for anyone not in the ecosystem.

It’s really only consumer friendly if you’re in or under their ecosystem. I don’t see the benefits to fans of PlayStation, or Nintendo.

“...it raises the rather obvious question: what now? What is Sony or PlayStation actually going to do, if anything”

His inflections are also a byproduct of his UK roots.

I do that here in CA, but not for Thanksgiving. It’s typically quite a bit extra, and a mean in itself.

Yo, “Wardell” is a manatee, not a walrus.

You receive promotions for your work, and appropriate Poki raises, but I can totally see the zoomer mentality of wanting it all immediately without putting in the work. (I jest).

Another take, for those of you who just can’t let this iteration live on its own, or outside of continuity.

You ever think maybe we dissect things just a bit too much? Not everything needs to be analyzed down to a granular level.

I bought into it, honestly with several users in our house the family plan simply makes sense.

Many would argue that Monolith’s “Shadow of Mordor” is that game. There are many parallels to Gein’s soul reaver archetype, and Talion/Celebrimbor’s overall abilities as the game progresses.

Playing devil’s advocate, and as someone credited in video games, the development studio doesn’t always control this. In most cases there is an parent company, publisher, or external entity that provides these lists and, in some cases, they may not be updated. There’s no single solution here that works for all, but

LEGO did/does it with their then Cusso/now Ideas program and it’s a tremendously successful one. There’s no reason to believe Nintendo couldn’t figure out a system to accept submissions & approve them, even if it’s on a small scale. It’s not this “accept one, accept them all”, LEGO is making it work, why not Nintendo?
