Cool, so you're going to continue to only engage with the portions of the discussion where you can whine about taxes. Glad we had this talk.

You mean, like we do now?! Through, you know, IMMORAL TAXATION?!?!??!?! Quelle horreur!

Ok then: Do not drive on roads, do not send your kids to public school, do not enter a public library, do not put your trash at the curb- Go start you're own island where no one pays taxes and everyone burns their own garbage- Good Luck!

Ok, go play with your Ayn Rand action figures and leave this stuff to those of us who eventually got over our adolescent fantasy that we should be able to do whatever the hell we want. Or even better, go find a desert island and stay there. No roads, public utilities, security, nothing. Otherwise, get over yourself.

I HAVE WAITED YEARS for someone to have read that! Simply smashing. God I love that chapter. Nearly died laughing.

I revere abortion. If I ever get pregnant, it will save my life - not because I wouldn't want a child, but because I don't have a uterus that can carry a fetus for 9 months without serious health consequences for both me and the fetus. So I revere it as a life-saving medical procedure. In your (clearly, well

I believe a potato could fool you at this point.

"Coulda fooled me."

I don't think that PP thinks abortion is popular or revered (not even sure about normal). It is a medical procedure that allows women to choose to end a pregnancy that they do not want to carry to term. Wanting safe and legal access to a medical procedure is not the same thing a revering it.

Well, considering nearly a third of all women will have an abortion in their lifetime, I don't know why you don't think this is a "normal" or "popular" experience.

And to follow up on Sonia's comment, it drives up homelessness because the people who were just barely hanging on get priced out of their apartments and can no longer afford anything, and the shelter system is horrible, and there isn't enough designated affordable housing. We *could* have both nice areas and help for

The GOP approximate response

If you worship a god who says that gay people deserve eternal torture, you are an asshole.

While animal cruelty in general should be stamped out where possible, let's be completely real here: we're thinking through a Western cultural lens here when we sit here and case aspersions at East Asians for eating dogs.

I really don't see the difference. Livestock animals are also bread for docility. Pigs are as far from wild boars as dogs are from wolves.

Who's "we"? In many parts of the world, dogs have never been domesticated and are either treated as feral pests or (at best) bred for food. And "we" (I'm assuming you mean Westerners) didn't originally breed dogs to be our friends, "we" bred them to be service and hunting animals; the friendship thing is incidental

10/10 would watch.

Clearly you never saw the sequel to Patch Adams, wherein Robin Williams opens a women's health center and begins performing medically necessary late-term abortions while wearing a bright red clown nose.

They don't have the best judgment. This is the same network that will air a series titled "Taxi Brooklyn" about a cop who isn't allowed to drive anymore and must use a taxi to solve her cases. NBC should have swallowed that one.
