good thing i still have multiple pairs of tommy hilfiger carpenter jeans/pants from the late 90s. 

it’s actually a bit of a challenge to avoid getting one’s kid gendered stuff - the amount of gender-neutral kids clothing at many retailers is minimal at best in my experience.
