I already have a wireless hotspot. It also makes calls and a few other things. (root=free)

I like Olivia Wilde and all, but there were better options available...

This marks the first time in recent history that the Chinese have won a dick measuring contest...

@Tkavil: That's the trailing end to a lot of joy-killing moments of realization.

@atrus123: I have solved that problem by having an HTPC. The idea of diferentiating between a computer that's inside the TV case and outside the TV case is frankly ridiculous to me.

@ps61318: Well, if they come out with this service, I will certainly give it a shot. I'm dangerous!

This makes me so excited. I simply cannot wait to have things appear on movie screens which are not possible in the real world, but can make me completely believe because it doesn't look like a rubber cartoon.

@ps61318: Considering the amount of skimming scams that go on, it's not a stretch.

How near field? Could someone create a device which fits in a backpack and instantly charges phones it gets close to as you walk down the street? or do you need to verify the purchase on the phone as a security measure?

I also don't agree with the medical care taxpayers are carrying the load for, and that technically he shouldn't get free medical care from the military. He might not be, though. He's trying to raise money, which indicates he will have

They'll make an ass-load of money, no doubt, but they've missed the sweet spot by years. Anyone who is a legitimate Beatles fan already has digitized their collection or downloaded illegally.

@Fetalinjury: They are not all like that, but the get the whole spectrum of people in any group. But hey, that's just my opinion after 30 years of experience dealing with the military.

@bucklefilledbird: Our taxpayer dollars are already going to the medical bills of illegal aliens, US citizens who can't pay their bills, and motorists who don't buckle up or forget to wear a helmet. While we're at it might as well help out a guy who risked his life to document our military actions abroad.

@Fetalinjury: Why don't we back off a little bit with those blanket statements declaring every person in the Army stupid for being a part of the Army. Some of the nicest, smartest, and most well educated people you'll ever meet are in the military.

@bobpence: 3 - He's probably getting care at WR because he was embedded with the Army at the time of his injury.

@Stabcarrot: You're right, they certainly aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I don't think of it as being behind, though. You're not behind in a race you're not running. This is one I'm going to opt out of because it simply doesn't fit my personality and style of interacting with friends.
