They were a partner with the armed forces to help with a bunch of sketch studies to make it seem less scary to the public. (And no I’m not a conspiracy nut, this stuff is all public records…

The DoE claims that it “doesn’t explore parallel universes” and overall tried to downplay its newfound reputation as ground zero for shady science.
