I want stories about the terrible spiteful neighbor.

No, she doesn’t.  It’s called at-will employment, unless she is union (which I doubt).

Whatever happened to just peeing in someone’s soup?

Jesus, the greys are a cesspool on any barstool post.  Do they immediately point their loons towards Deadspin everytime there’s an article mentioning them?

I agree with your general point (that yucking someone’s yum that doesn’t hurt anyone is stupid), but certainly you could buy an RV and trailer for what is spent on the overland examples above.

The police officer had a broken collarbone and rib, and Martinez was released to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries

I agree that her gaffe is a significant problem.  She needs to run a near-perfect campaign.  But it isn’t toast - not with the kind of money she’s bringing in.

She’s not likely to win, but Nate Silver gave her about a 15-20% chance.

It’s certainly not simple - it’s complicated. However:

100. We have to build a coalition. So say we have a Warren/Harris presidency in 2020. The question here is would we rather a) have a moderate/conservative democrat caucusing with the democrats who may vote against a few issues like medicare for all and subsidizing healthcare for undocumented immigrants, but will

Also, the most you are looking at if, say, you live in a blue state and declare 100 people live in your household is a $500 fine.

Seriously.  Goddammit.  You write for an automobile blog.

All engines are connected to an eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, and as fun as a manual would be on either of these motors we all know they’re on the way out

We always tipped a flat 18, and documented as such on the receipt.

Seriously, fuck this company, nonprofit or not.  If you can’t afford to tip, you can’t afford to have it delivered.  Tell management to get up off their lazy asses, go to the grocery story, and buy some peanut butter and jelly with a loaf of bread.

Wow, they pay you $70k to take this car?  I’m in!

There have been some weight reductions, but not nearly as much engineering and R&D is put into this vs. getting more horsepower.  Your issue seems to be the complaint that they don’t do ENOUGH testing, so wouldn’t more invested into R&D on weight reduction at least help to address this?

I agree with you, but there’s no real focus on weight reduction. We’re not building carbon fiber frames, finding a block that weighs less, or even replacing glass with something lighter.  Instead, it’s “Make MOAR HP!”

I think emphasizing weight would be good.  It would also encourage more R&D on weight reduction and hopefully some competition, rather than the horsepower wars we have now.
