@psydanman: Actually I *have* played SC2, and played the original SC to death. I've also played WC3, and seen some of the custom maps for that too.

@kevinconqueso: When a mathematician dies, the case is generally that a function is held, at which the body is added back to the Earth...

@evileyevileye: Yes, Steam started out as a huge pain in the ass, but has grown into the ideal form of DRM.

I like how they skew the CPU data towards AMD by not including any current enthusiast-level Intel CPU's.

@oogabubchub: It really depends on the tools the developer releases; In my experience, a lot of developers have released pretty sophisticated development tools for their games and more or less given the community to create content for the rest of the community to enjoy; Neverwinter Nights had the Aurora Toolset,

@oogabubchub: That's true when you see all the mods that were never really finished (or even started), and the ones that weren't good. Many of the best mods go on the be sold for profit. These include Killing Floor, Red Orchestra, Counter-Strike, and Day of Defeat.

@Tyler Parry: By my reading of Kotaku's post, they're suing them because they made a derivative work, and not because they attempted to *profit* from *selling* said derivative work.

@Azures: The issue at hand really isn't that they're going after the people marketing hacks, it's the way in which they're doing it.

@MagicalTrev: Yo dawg, we put a rust covered meme in your......

@That Lamer: Mostly this; Jedi essentially take crystals and modify the components of the lightsaber to work with the crystals; Sith make the lightsaber and then grow their own crystals to specification using their control of the force.

@given: I hate to nitpick, but you said two things in your post that are incorrect; One is semantics, the other is oughtright false.

@HK-47: Your last bit about deforestation is patently false, at the very least in the case of the U.S.A. — there is presently a larger amount of wooded lands in the U.S.A. than there was at any time between now and when Europeans first settled here.

@izzi303: I know that I looked at one a while back, and it was wildly inaccurate; I put in some passwords that I found via a straight brute-force attack (a-z + A-Z + 0-9) on a single P4 (775, Prescott, 540) in under a day (8-characters long too), and it predicted that it would have taken a LOT longer than that.

@pettiblay: Again, you don't understand what I'm getting at.

@djuniah: I freely admit that especially in circumstances such as these that I'm a highly opinionated asshole. :htfu:

@pettiblay: Again, it comes down to the fact that Apple wanted them to move, and they didn't otherwise have any desire to move.

@pettiblay: Dude, think about it. Say you own a house that you own outright, and that you raised your children in, and that you had planned to keep in the family. You like this house. You have no intention or reason to move. You know and like your neighbors.

@SpartanFry: I don't know about you, but if I were sent to prison, I wouldn't want to be anywhere but in solitary confinement.
