Yeah, I’m not thrilled. I think a discussion about gentrification of public spaces and who is allowed to do what there is important, but the implication here is that putting a cat on a leash in a park as a sort of instagram pet influencer is a privileged thing to do and it’s just shitty.

It seems like an AWFUL

Yeah, pretty clear this story is about a very disturbed 12 year old that needs psychiatric intervention and extremely Anti-Asian, racist, violent family.

This whole article feels kinda victim-blamey to me.

These people are fucking evil. This was both a hate crime and the murder of an animal.

I think the take is that putting a cat on a leash and taking it to a park is something a hipster “gentrifier” would do, and the kind of thing that would set off more “traditional” embedded residents.

This seems like a lot of reaching for rationalization. Sometimes people are violent assholes, and they often take it out on defenseless animals. I very much doubt gentrification had anything to do with it.

Always comment online as if the person responsible was in front of you, listening looking at you. I am so angry that the whole internet is, and has always been, a survival of the fittest on “take it on the chin” without showing vulnerability, so angry and so sad.

We don’t know how long their days are right now; if things are rough enough that they’re going back on a public promise of no crunch, I’m assuming that the workers weren’t working 40 hour weeks recently.

This doesn’t seem like that big of a deal compared to what we normally hear about though. They’re having people work Saturdays for a while, which is a pretty normal thing for businesses when its needed. It doesn’t sound like they’re telling people they have to be there for 16 hour+ days or work 80+ hour weeks.

The Lord of the Rings is Sauron. The full title of the Red Book of Westmarch is: The Downfall of the Lord of the Rings and the Return of the King.

Also, Sauron is twice referred to as The Lord of the Ring[s] in The Fellowship of the Ring

They need to go full crazy in a tornado DLC where you surf a tornado and dive bomb people in the city and the boss fight is a guy with a chainsaw.

Kojima was right about everything! HOW DID HE KNOW?!

Liked the use of Bjork’s “Hunter” during the Serac and Maeve scene.

“What is the sound of one hand punching .... YOUR FACE

The only actual fistfight I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life was between two Buddhist guys in a park arguing about some interpretation of Buddhist scripture. (They were known to be pretty nuts in general, though.) I’ll never forget the sound of that punch....

I truly hope that one day Trump will see justice for every shitty thing he has done times three. And I hope it is public and humiliating, and that he suffers.

Man even when there hasn’t been any recent review bombs or harassment you guys still manage to write an article about it.  How about an article about how Epic has abandoned their Epic store development roadmap?  Seems like news to me that the company throwing millions at exclusives cant seem to get even the most basic

This will never work. They clearly come from different uncanny valleys.

Not video game related, But, my favorite story was always how they made the “CGI” in Escape from New York. They could not come anywhere close to affording to actually render a CGI city for the movie so they just made a model of the city painted, it matte black, and put fluorescent tape put on all the edges, then
