There are BMWs I'd drive, thats for sure. In my commuting, I get more of the "HOW IS THAT SHITBOX CORNERING WITH ME?!?!?" looks from guys driving all makes of high-end cars.
I'll admit, most E30 guys I see are on the non-asshole side of the spectrum. This man proves the douche side still exists.

To add to what others have said, depending on what bushings/motor mounts he is running, he could have raised the idle to 1k to help out with interior vibrations.
