2 door vs 4 door jeeps would disagree. Last I checked 4 door unlimited wranglers are 75% of all wrangler sales. Not sure if being a truck would change those numbers, but I also see more 4 door or crew cabbed trucks on the road than I do single cabs.

And just for clarification when I reference recession it’s not specifically priced based. People generally scale back comforts and optionals regardless if they can afford them or not.
