I also think the levels of Golden Sun are done really well. I think that the better levels in M&L are as good as Golden Sun. It's not quite as consistent and the Bros moves aren't quite so clever as Golden Sun psynergy, but there are a couple times per game that M&L gets up there.

This will change nothing. Casuals want the .99 touch based games for when they are on the go and the core gaming crowd wants games that are much more in depth than a mobile game. This will serve a niche crowd.
