And I was already depressed that I have to wait a full 14 more years before I can import a 3-Wheeler to Canada (our Ministry of Transport hates fun, and only allows exemptions for 15 yr+ old cars).

Now they're going to be rare items.

This... isn't happening. Please tell me.

Pray they were only automatics.

Software is amortized over a lot larger sales base and at a lower individual consumer cost than automotive products.

Yup. That's why I want Model S and an RR Sport.

And the two balance out to be just enough time in the garage to keep the local mechanics employed.

I don't think there's a one size fits all kind of car. And everything seems to be sacrificed for that extra practicality (cargo area, seating for 7 in a one-person commuter car, road-trip range) that people barely use even 1% of the vehicle's life.

Good argument.

Like Apple having a software store for its niche products?

I was thinking Dodge Dart, Alfa Giulietta. One half apple pie, one half minestrone.

So the equivalent of this:

But battery swapping infrastructure does make long-term sense.

True. It's mostly the spork problem for me. Having driven a Volt, I would not highway this far.

If we're going to use the 'not at every street corner' argument for fast charging, the Tesla will probably have SuperSwapping before an ELR hits the road next year. The Tesla will 'fill up' with a new battery in 3 mins, and is better than the ELR at almost everything.

Carrera 4S?

Shame 'upmarket' Lexus didn't throw something above a Prius motor in there. Definitely a let down considering the price.

'Best engine' gets thrown around a lot, but does anyone have a worst?

Very good looking truck in red. Honestly all it needs is an imitator of Jeep's Mango Tango paint, and it'd be perfect.

I think this is like an RRSport, but minus the off road bits.

I love me some F Type, but shouldn't that be up here too?

Evo August 2013 (I think) did a comparison test of the base Cayman manual (only optional 19" wheels) and other base model cars. They still liked the Cayman.
