Ok, we get it. You hate Trump. You hate Trump so much you wrote a 10 page essay on the history of US Diplomacy.

Should have built the IDX

Why is it that everyone thinks taxing things is a solution to anything? Ever? So the government can have even more of our money and waste it in new and even more stupid ways?

#1 reason why I don't like the 4 door Wrangler is the length! That thing is so long my Grand Cherokee has a better turn base! I will just have to get a 2 door.

I put 325,000 miles on my 2003 WRX Clutch. Bought it new. Never replaced it. Sold it that way for $3,000. Should have kept it because it was still an awesome car. I think I only changed the brakes 3 times too. Clutch braking, used the clutch to hold it on hills regularly, did many many many full power launches. That

Can they please just put in a Heads Up Display??? That would satisfy everyone and make it actually feel like the future.

They literally had to move a mountain to fix this road... Look at the pictures from when the landslide happened. It took them months just to dig out. And it is literally in the middle of nowhere and nowhere.

We are not on the enemies list. The US is not going to go take over Europe. Never has and never will. Just like we didn’t take over Iraq or Afghanistan, or Korea, or Viet Nam or anywhere else that we had to take military action. Stop believing the crap.

Germany (Hell all of Europe) needs us WAY more than we need them. And they know it. Trump definitely knows it.

This goes far beyond international auto sales. The US has been defending Europe from their enemies since WW2 and paying 80% of the bill on top of it. You think those socialist countries could afford to give

Considering that we are ALL car people, you would think it wouldn’t be so hard to understand that this is all negotiating.

It is just like buying a used car. Guy is asking 10k, you offer 6k. he said screw you, you say ok but this thing has a transmission leak. So he says ok 9k. You say ok 5k because it also needs

I mentioned this in the original Tent story. They are building in a tent because they can’t get permits to build real buildings.

But seriously, that is a sweet tent. And it isn’t the only one they have. They have a lot of their ancillary processes happening in temporary tents. Things like Headlight and Steering

If it were only that simple.

You really missed my point. Every one of the other companies have facilities at each end to handle the vehicles coming off the trains. Then they get loaded onto a car carrier and taken to the final destination. From a cost standpoint and the volume of vehicles they are moving, it makes much more sense financially to

You do realize that every plant is still sorting out QC and production methods right? They scrapped about 4 weeks worth of Chevy Pickups when they switched body styles in 2012 or so because the roofs were not getting welded on properly... the were off by about half an inch. And then there was the problem with the

That is the very plant I was thinking about when I mentioned Toyota actually.

Not a lot of people can handle the pace that a company like Tesla requires. As a business owner the best people you can get are the ones that are dedicated and willing to put in as much effort as I am. They are hard to find, but when you do, it is awesome.

There is no plant with a single paint line that puts out 7000 cars in 4 hours. Fastest paint booth in the world paints cars at about 80 jobs per hour (not well). That’s just one of the bottlenecks. That Ford guy is a dumbass.

It’s OK man. Jalopnik is still the best auto site out there. Articles like this are nice because it gets a discussion going.

I was walking out of the plant at 10:30 at night on a sunday and saw Elon heading in towards the production area. You don’t see anyone at Ford doing that.

PS. It was pretty awesome walking within a few feet of the guy and having him nod at me. :)

They just switched to 4 shifts. 4 days on, 3 days off then 3 days on 4 days off. They are working on it.
