It isn't a terrible paint job. The colors are awesome. The car is amazing, It is just not quite a mirror finish. It is the same as pretty much any car these days. The paint just isn't quite show quality.

It is the surface under the paint that is not good enough. If they tried to do what is needed to make the paint right, it would probably add way more than $10,000 to the price of the car. More importantly it would take up acres of real estate and take it from being a production car to a hand built car.

I just installed some equipment in the Bowling Green Paint Shop. One of the electricians i was working with restores Corvette's on the side. He said you couldn't give him a new one because the paint is an embarrassment.
