Check your AC voltage. I've sometimes seen household voltage at 128 - 130+ volts. There are bulbs for commercial / industrial buildings that are rated for 130v. That could be part of the problem you are having.

Yep I have the same issue. My house has an old electrical system so I don't get a clean current to some outlets. Some will make a CFL crackle and flicker like crazy. The ones I use outside also have a poor life I think due to humidity and temperature fluctuations.

I replaced all the lights in my house with these exact bulbs, the 60w version. About 16 of them total. The light is wonderful, and I haven't had any problems yet. It's been about 6 months.

If this article was written with Linux newbies in mind then including Cygwin is weird since anyone who can figure out Unix command lines is a very advanced user and more than capable of learning DOS commands, as many of us did back in the 80's :)

It's actually saying that from the starting point, after 3.5 hours you'll be under .08. So, 30 minutes instead of 3.5 hours from "now." You can see it on the chart it provides after running the calculation.

More sleep is always better than less. You may feel more alert when you first wake up if you wait until midnight to fall asleep, but you'll feel better later in the day and for longer into the day, if you go to sleep earlier.
