That's great, then. Sorry to jump on you — I have a particular chip on my shoulder about manhole cover type questions : ).
Don't forget to switch paradigms after you're done with that. Imperative and OOP are great, but you can't leave out functional! Logic programming is (IMO) the hardest paradigm to learn, but it's also really neat!
I'm not even going to pretend I read this. Just hit the fucking star and recommend this comment.
It's touching to watch Sylvester Stallone try to act. In his early days with Rocky, the guy had charm, an ability to…
Did that to a townhouse I was in back east. 4x8s cut in half fit through the hatch. Just floored the area immediately around the hatch. Didn't put anything really heavy up there, just things like Xmas ornaments, maybe some clothes in sealed containers.
Was about to make this same suggestion as well. The amount of extra floor space we got was awesome!
I'm using led lamps for over 10 years now and never had to replace a single light bulb. But scince the led bulbs I brought are supose to last much longer I cant say if they will last as long as they are hyped for.
It may be cliche but it really helps to build a reputation as being a go-to person in a crisis or just generally a well-skilled, easy to work with person. Do a lot of networking, and generally be a person who is ethical and worthy of respect.
Even if it sticks with only 1% of that audience, he did us all a huge favor.
What I've done to combat the D cell problem is to buy physical battery adapters that allow you to use AA's in place of D's. All the major battery sizes (AAA/AA/C/D) have the same voltage, but just have different capacities. What's even better is if you can find adapters that allow you to connect multiple AA's in…
File this under: Son was too busy playing X-Box to watch the Old Man fix shit. ;)
I've got 2 packs of eneloop batteries, and I wish I had marked them in some way, because 3 of the 8 barely hold a charge anymore after only 18 months of charging and usage, while the other 5 are holding up great. I would love to know if the 3 were from a single package, but the experience has soured me a bit on the…
My eneloops have been working very well and holding their charge for about 3-4 years now
Moar wooden toys!
I noticed my AAA energizers barely hold a charge several years later but I haven't had enough time to see if these Eneloops lose their ability to hold them yet. That special charger mentioned sounds like it might help. What frustrates me with rechargeables are like with my cordless phones, if there's one in another…
Yes, NiCad's had that issues, but the new Li-Ion and Ni-MH batteries don't have these memory and fading issues and can be recharged hundreds, if not thousands, of times.
The Eneloops used in this article are rated to handle 1,000 recharges before losing their maximum charging capacity. Odds are your older batteries were the NiCd type. Newer batteries are NiMH, which I believe are much better.
Eneloops seem to last forever to me (going 4 years strong with xbox controllers using them)
