This sounds like he's spouting a bunch of BS to try to maintain his BS persona.

So, I've worked for 4 hardware tech startups, and 6 big companies (Lockheed, Raytheon, Intel, Qualcomm, LSI and Broadcom). I'm an electrical engineer who's done ASIC design/verification for most of the time, so filter my thoughts through the lens of engineering/software/tech jobs.

Ahh...good point.

Very cool!! I generally don't share data between linux and windows anyway, so that won't be a problem. I'm going to have to try this out next time I reload the OS on my windows machine.

So would this let you share data/settings between the virtual OS and the dual-boot OS? Or are they completely separate images still?

I used to drink coconut water as a kid...straight from the coconut. So far I've avoided the coconut water in the juice boxes, mainly because it doesn't feel right to have it in a box like that. Kind of like wine. :-)

I'd be careful with this. Seems like it would tend to flex your TV if you put too much in it. When the TV is mounted from the VESA mount, there is only one point of force on it, which it was designed for. When the TV is set on top of something, there is only one point of force on the legs, which it was designed

Isn't there a BIOS setting for this to turn off the Wifi when there is a wired ethernet connection? Or is that only on certain laptops?

10% per week is often too aggressive and can lead to injury if you increase 10% too many weeks in a row.

Windows systems are better in price, available SW apps and HW compatibility, and overall reliability. Really, Mac has nothing going for it other than reputation and a nice case.

Seniors can lose their scholly's, as far as I know. I'm guessing the school would have converted it to an academic scholarship, at least.

Good information. Thanks!

The same guy who is estimating $2400 per year in savings is the same guy who wants to sell $8800 in services.

Good for him!!

Thanks!!

Thanks!!

It should be obvious, but there's a difference between using outdated IT tech, and using outdated tech that hurts your future job prospects. If just its IT tech, then sure suck it up and deal with it.
