Yup, we're just like Michael Jordan. Except for the money, chicks and bling.
I've got a Smokey Mountain, too, and I if I make sure the coals are topped off before going to bed, it'll easily last though the night and then some. I can typically get 8-9 hours, but I've gotten to 12 hours before and its still going strong. But I do 3 "non-standard" things that help extend that:
These things have been around for years. I've got an older version, and they're awesome for smoking a brisket to 8 to 12 hours. No more waking up every hour or so in the middle of the night to check on the temperature of the smoker and adjust the vents, so your BBQ is ready to serve at your lunch party the next day.
It migh support 4k uploads, but there is no way it gets streamed out at that resolution.
To be fair, we are not getting 5k video streamed to us over the internet. Regardless of what the video was filmed in, it got de-rezzed and compressed down to something that can be posted on YouTube.
That kind of thing probably depends on how good the graphics and video core is, not the processor. No one ever seems to talk about this, but most (if not all) of the smartphone architectures are going to have dedicated hardware for that to offload the processors. So if your VC sucks, then it doesn't matter how good…
I just started here a few months ago. I work on chips that go right behind the sensor. The camera brains. Its a lot of fun here...very high energy environment.
Wheeeee!!! I work at Red. Its so cool when stuff I work on shows up here!!
Part of the ungainly look is it being stealthy. Streamlined aerodynamics and stealth do not go well together. Some of the early stealth stuff had the flight characteristics of a bathtub. And an old-fashioned cast iron one at that.
My only question is, when do we get the Navy some drones that can launch torpedo's from the air?
There's a roof in that picture. :-)
I don't think its doing anything, either. But if it was, it would be a net negative, I think.
I still hear about half of those sounds...the fax machine at the office makes the modem sound, I still hear dial tones and busy signals on the land line (busy happens when the phone can't connect for some reason), and I'm typing this right now on a clicky keyboard (a Das).
Without knowing the dimensions of the boat, and exactly where the jet is being fired from, its impossible to tell. The higher up from the CG of the boat, the more of the force from the rocket will direct the opposite side of the boat DOWN, and into the water (assuming the jet is on the back) and causing increased…
Yes!!! This is what we try do with our setup!!
Writing out a budget is the easy part. The hard part is foolproofing everything as much as possible.
Really, the hydroponic weed growers already have this figured out. Just go examine their setups. Use the 40k to bribe them if you need to.
Actually, the video is steady enough that it must have been a gimbal-mounted camera with at least motion stabilization if not target locking capability.
Its an Indian thing, too. Not just Oriental. Asian is about right.
