You need to teach it. You are teaching it with your skips, but you also need to be liberal with the use of the thumbs up button so it also knows what you like. Give it a lot of likes and it'll eventually mold the station around your tastes.

Holy crap...everything is on the internet nowadays. I found the actual excerpt from the book:
For all the people who are wondering how Swiftkey does its prediction, according to the alt-text, they use markov chains.
That's the differernce. I'm in hardware. ASIC design is pretty much software (I spend all my time coding and simulating) but we don't get the cool PC's or Mac's. We have millions of dollars worth of tools on the Linux side, though. Just the freaking IDE costs $2k per person per year. The total cost of licenses…
We have awesome Linux compute farms to submit jobs to, so the laptops are just for running Microsoft Office and to run VNC into a linux server. Our laptop budget is pretty standard for large companies...around $2k, I'm guessing.
I'm an engineer, and I'd love to have something with that kind of resolution right on the laptop. I've got my dual monitor setup at work, but it would be nice when I'm working in the laptop-only mode to be able to see my entire VNC session.
The Israelis win. I'm imagining a huge underground lair underneath that building. With lots of long steel-encased corridors.
The crazy new and futuristic technology they call "solar panels" has been around for decades. Lots of houses live off the electrical grid, or are grid-tied but provide net power to the electric company rather than the other way around.
LOL...it all makes sense now!! Your German tuition dollars at work.
Ugh...that looks like a prison. Or a really, really low-end daycare center.
They can copy the pictures all they want. The real question, which you can't tell from pictures, is do they have all the angles and planes of the aricraft body lined up with the exact mathematical precision to bounce radar signals in any direction except the in the direction of the transmitter?

"I was thinking home theater, though movies in such a high quality will need much higher quality theaters. And with the movie theater slowly dying out (though arguable) I feel like the quality won't change much. What I mean by that is, I see no true advantage of being filmed in 4k/8k when many theaters won't support…
Are you talking about for the home theater, or for capture side? The list of movies that are filmed or being filmed in 4k is fairly impressive, and getting longer. Prometheus and the Amazing Spiderman coming out this summer were both filmed in 4k. The Hobbit and Avatar 2 are being filmed in 4k. The capture side is…
4k and 8k are the future. In the near-term future for movies, at least on the capture and theater projection side. On the broadcast side, its going to take a while. Ugh.
No self-respecting engineer or programmer gets in before 9 or 10 am. And at a lot of places, the R&D offices are purposely NOT co-located with the rest of the company functions....sales, marketing, etc. They must think we're loud and unruly or something.
I've got both, and will probably keep it that way for a while. They both still have a lot of stuff that the other doesn't. Its still far cheaper for both than what I used to pay for cable.
MacVim, for the wim,...er win!!
For shaving purposes, an Alum bar is generally thought of as an aftershave or skin conditioner, not for cuts. I use both, and the alum bar doesn't do crap for cuts, while the syptic pen does.
Alum is just an aftershave, it doesn't do anything for cuts. To seal cuts you want a syptic pen.
