I understand it's still in beta, but Project CARS doesn't look as good in motion compared to its screenshots. Are the cars supposed to look that shiny and the tracks that flat? Yeah, I'm a anti-console fanboy, and all for the PC Master Race, but Driveclub really takes the cake here. There is no way one could argue that Project Cars has better, or equal weather effects.

Wow uh, as pretty as screenshots from Project Cars have been looking, Driveclub kinda looks a LOT better. Project Cars looks flat next to it. How'd that happen?

You have to understand the entire pipeline and scene building process to understand what has changed. If they did their job right you won't notice anything visually different about the scenes.

Normally I wouldn't be too miffed about this, but this not-so-recent change has a bunch of problems:

The GTA developers had these Grand Theft Auto V-themed consoles made up for a giveaway, and while the neon green highlights might not be to everyone's tastes, I love the subtle "dollar bill" logo effect all over the top of the consoles.

All of the trailers Square released back at E3 2006 were concept pieces. If you compared the gameplay from the FFXIII trailer to the final product, the end result didn't come nearly as close to the concept.
