It looks better than most new cars today, and a brand new, nearly $100k Lexus IS-F looks identical to this one.

Excellent point. These articles are actually promoting irresponsible car buying decisions! Just because you can afford the price of entry doesn't mean you can afford everything else.

I have exactly two problems with this car.
1. It's not RWD or AWD.
2. It's a Lexus, so just like Infinitis and a fair number of Acuras, it attracts the "smug asshole" demographic.

Fact. It must be fun purchasing $2000 tires every two years.

As usual, this is irrelevant.

Tavarish let's be honest:

So, really, if you don't give a shit about cars, get a Crown Victoria since it'll handle your abuse. If you love cars, get a Crown Vic anyway because it'll handle your abuse.

Skip 10 oil changes? I laugh at your pessimism!

Seriously - I once got the opportunity to "rebuild" a 4.6L out of a Crown Vic. The engine had well approaching 300k on the odometer, and had seized up after not having had an oil change in almost 200k.

This is a 2001 4-bar grille. 2002's and up received a 3 bar grille with a removable emblem. Hope it hasn't been in an accident and repaired cheaply.

Too bad this car has a rebuilt title. I don't think it should be considered.

@STR8SIX: Oh it can't be as easy as THIS, can it?

I use sites like craigslist all the time to sell my junk and I dont use crap ads like that. I found with simple but detailed information and decent pictures, youll get consistant calls, as long as your price is appealing.

I've never dealt with anyone on Craigslist who shows up at the stated time, or even calls to say he can't make it. Such flakes. The thought of trying to sell a car on CL makes me want to crawl under my desk and cry.

There may be a 1999 Ford Ranger up there eventually...

I bought a car off craigslist... eventually. I must have e-mailed a half dozen+ people over the course of a week and got maybe 2 responses. I eventually called one right after it showed up, went and saw it, gave her a deposit, and then she got overwhelmed by calls (for a $1300 Geo).

The oversized speakers in the boot show that he communicates this way offline, too.

"In order for success on Craigslist, you have to make yourself stand out. You must use "call to action words" like I did - *******TODAY ONLY****ONE DAY OFFER**** using symbols as well to make it stand out. My wording is in all caps. If there are 29 other Nissan Maximas that people are going to be potentially looking

I just hate when people put low prices in the price field when it's the monthly payment or whatever. I'm looking for beaters, folks! If you're not selling that BMW for $1, quit it!
