mmmm, not in the mainstream like back in the SNES-PS1 era. The only JRPGs to get mainstream Game of the Year buzz were Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Chrono Cross. Those were the only five that I could recall.
