When a company is no longer making any money on the game and a re-release is highly unlikely, it becomes a moral gray area. Also, sometimes piracy is the only way to play a game in an understandable language, as was the case with Seiken Densetsu 3, or the Sailor Moon RPG, or Treasure of the Rudras, or countless other

The Virtual Console wouldn't exist if not for piracy. Sometimes old media needs a kick in the ass from piracy to get moving, just like a rusty old car sometimes needs a jump. :)

Well, those other studios should release the games then. All I'm saying is that there's an easy digital solution and no reason why every old-school game shouldn't be available for legal purchase by this point. If companies don't get with the times, they're going to be dragged into them. Or, as Bob Dylan once said:

I'm sure as hell not going to pay some Ebay gouger a premium for a game Nintendo could easily put up for sale.

I'd be happy to buy games if Nintendo would sell them! *looks at mostly barren Virtual Console store* Oh damn, looks like Nintendo is allergic to my money.

I'd buy so many more Virtual Console games if they did what Sony does with the PS4/Vita/PS3/PSP and have one download for ALL systems. Wii U and 3DS need unified Virtual Consoles now.

Monster High and Ever After High both have pretty awesome toys/webtoons.

Played and enjoyed the first two, I think I'll enjoy this one. Flawed as hell but still fun. Hope Final Fantasy XV is a return to form for the series.

12 Years a Slave is a hell of a read. That plus the other slave narratives and Uncle Tom's Cabin are essential reading for anyone interested in American history. Loving this giveaway from Amazon, good on them.

Gaze into my nipples of the future!

I don't care what the situation is, if you direct the N-word at a black person you deserve to get your ass beat down.

How about settling the game on the court instead of calling a bullshit technical foul?

This is why I'm so impatient for Pokemon Bank. I'm scared to death that a fire will get my DS Pokemon games and then the Bank will come out the very next day just to piss me off.

So at this point it would be considered a miracle if he even gets to, say, where Gabby Giffords is now? In terms of head injuries that's probably the most visible, well-known benchmark I can think of even if the types of injuries are significantly different.

Has anyone EVER lost their trademark due to a derivative work-based copyright infringement, though? There's no legal precedent for an infringing derivative work leading to brand genericization.
