I'm inclined to agree with you (I tend to blame a lack of parental discipline on a lot of things with younger kids), but plenty of people are raised in situations with mostly absent parents and turn out to be normalish, respectful adults. Maybe the combination of wealth and lack of parental guidance just doesn't allow…
