Saw a movie the other day, "Faces in the Crowd" in which the star (played by Mila Jovovitch) suffered just this sort of blindness. Nice premise, and interesting depiction of the illness (characters were portrayed by different actors from moment to moment) in an unfortunately forgettable film.
