Arnie Saknussen, as I live and breath. Is that an iguana with a glued on fin, or are you just glad to see me?

So, you agree with me. Good.

I agree. Not Shakespeare, to be sure. But for a comic book movie, pretty good. I liked the characterization and the presentation of all the aliens. About the only part I did not care for was the Hector Hammond sub-plot ... seemed like a throw-away bit that could just as easily have been sacrificed for more time with

Maybe that's the explanation for the withered fin?

Most of whom are former lawyers.

Absolutely. Let the roads, schools, dams, armies and such pay for themselves. Yeah, that's the ticket. Can't wait to be asked for a "donation" by a jarhead and his 37 pals canvassing the neighborhood in full battle dress.

Roger that. I want to be amazed. Do NOT show me how the magic is done, just make me gape with wonder and horror and glee (preferably in equal portions).

Agreed, in no small part because of the complete lack of send-up that this was a horror flick. I had been following the cartoon storyboards in Heavy Metal magazine, and was intrigued by the Mobius-designed space-suits, the "space trucker" wear and tear on everything, and the fact that we were finally getting a new

I thought of this. I am old.

But now for something completely different ...

So what's it like?

More like a WTF special.

Such a wealth of spoilers. Thank you so much. This is especially helpful in determining which films I will pony up for the cinema screens, and which will go on the old DVD/Blu-Ray/Streaming quieu.

Hawass was (and is) a pretentious know-nothing who owed his position to his skills at kissing establishment butt.

Ah, the Tan Planet, home of cute attack lizards and Kong's albino cousins.

That third picture conjures the voice of Jimmy Durante saying "Ha-Chah!"

Very good! You beat me too it. I think Occam could have shaved this "charred husks of gas giants" theory a bit closer, as we know for certain that large masses can capture smaller masses, but we have no evidence at all that planets can survive inside a star, or even that gas giants have rocky cores.
