It`s about punishing the woman and controlling her sexuality, it always has been.

`Allowing` but not be willing to cover the costs (as a society) is bullshit. There are lots of things that I pay for with taxes that I don`t use or even agree with (hello, military!). So what, that`s how society works. We all suck it up for the greater good of a functional society.

A Democrat willing to limit abortion is a big deal. A huge deal. Any politician who believes in limiting a woman`s reproductive freedom through legislation for any reason would lose my vote.

Women still had abortions before Roe v. Wade, but “many more died, many more lost their capacity for reproduction. Much more horror and suffering occurred.”
