It seems to me "mythical" and "not real" are near synonymous. Bigfoot is mythical in the same sense that fairies, killer rabbits, and swamp mattresses are mythical. Meaning that there has been no significant evidence to suggest the existence of each, but there is still a small likelihood that they do exist. But that's

I'm putting that on my gravestone. Thanks!

As a former anus, I resent that.

Pretty tame, I'd say.

The burden of proof lies upon the party making unfalsifiable claims.

Actually, in Asimov's story the planet had several stars, and it was the total darkness event every few thousand years that drove the inhabitants mad.

I love this analogy.

That's the idea.

Or perhaps text-speak and hashtags are simply extensions to the English language that can be used for both intelligent and "simpleton" thoughts? Both evolved as specialised means for transmitting information. Text-speak, for example, reduces English to its most compact forms and demonstrates how redundancy maximises

THERE IS AS YET INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER.

And we all lived happily ever after...?
