The only problem I see is that they update too quickly. Change the update cycle to every two years, continually improve upon sound quality, form factor, and storage capacity and the iPod will be fine.
Don't forget waterproof and shock-proof!

It was a school Mac that I was able to take home—a polycarbonate white Macbook. I thought the trackpad gestures were so cool, and the interface was so polished. So I bought one of my own a few months later, which I'm typing on now. It's a Macbook Pro 13.
