Well, I guess that all of the transsexuals, androgynes, and other genderqueers who don't want to list either Male or Female or Other because they feel that neither of the three properly describe their situation or those who would rather others not build prejudices around their biological sex are hermits.

Oh, that's been tried, and it never catches on. Mostly because it looks incredibly awkward and nobody, myself included, knows how the hell to pronounce it.

I am sad that I actually did this, thinking you'd created the page, and was disappointed :(

You're still allowed to use incandescent, they just have to be more efficient.

I think they just mean that they don't want you impersonating somebody else. I mean, unless your pseudonym is full of a bunch of special characters and numbers, I don't think they'll be able to figure out it isn't your real name.

Aw, he's smiling.

Thank you for reminded me of this.

Indeed. I admit I was turned on. *hides in shame*

Oh yeah, I wasn't implying that it was depthless without the symbolism. I quite liked the sequels, except for the ending, which I found to be a bit unrealistic. I mean, the machines are on the verge of destroying Zion, they've neutralised Smith, soooo they just keep the truce? What good does that do them? They

Oh, I know it makes sense without the symbolism, but I just like the extra layer of depth that it adds.

I disagree with the Architect.

He's Bilbo (Bilbo) Bilbo Baggins,

Eh, I knew somebody would bring that up. I personally don't care too much about revealing my "gender" but I can very clearly see why somebody would. Besides, it's a Vonnegut reference so it's worth it :)

I'm not talking about sexual preference (as in are you asexual, gynesexual, androsexual, etc.), I'm talking about gender identity. What you're talking about is biological sex (male, female, other). I guess I am making a big deal about, but only because I don't see why they just can't put "I would prefer not to show

True, it won't. But I didn't consciously realise she was a girl until she pointed it out to me. I just glazed over her username. I'd think for a split second "Oh, she's a girl" if I saw her name was Cassie, but it would be a lot more obvious, for lack of better word, if she had "Female" in her profile.

No. It's just that many people, myself included, do not want to have extra emphasis put on their gender because it does not properly describe them. Why would I not put "Other"? Because I'm Male, but I don't want to shout it to the heavens. They give you Black or White or nothing. It's a false choice, and it would

In general, it's only the conservatives here who are against raising taxes (on the top 1%, no less!)

Hehe I was thinking the same thing.

Except her name isn't "cassiebearRAWR_IM_A_GIRL"

How about M/F/Other/"I'd rather not disclose my gender"?
