I want to bang Superman's (Earth) mom

I'm with you on that one. I'm sure this will be great, but everything about current TV/film is in this race to push toward hyper-intense 'realism.' It does make for compelling video for sure, but I do miss softer/simpler themes sometimes. I re-watched the first 2 Superman movies a couple weeks ago and it was

I'm in online advertising and have used Facebook from campaigns ranging from a few hundred dollars to a few hundred thousand dollars. But I don't really think inserting ads into the main content stream is the answer. They already have some excellent ad units that allow you leverage a user's friends for social

Generally like Android a lot, but whole-heartedly agree on this. I actually had to clear/move several apps last week as I was starting to run out of space. That's NOT something I should have to deal with.

You try and tell my wife (who has been waiting for a year for her upgrade later this month) to wait until October. I'd pay to see that actually.

As both iOS and WP gradually catch up to Android in features though (at some point it'll become like the desktop space where we're honestly splitting hairs over the feature-set differences) UI and polish will become more critical differentiators.

Laugh all you want. It's one of those EXTREMELY useful (and more importantly, extremely efficient) features that are hard to live without once you've used it. An apt comparison (especially as I'm talking about Apple) is the mouse. Once people realized the utility of a 2-button mouse and the scroll wheel it was

Agreed. I haven't quite understood all the hype about the notifications. Quite honestly I think it's as much about it being such a MONUMENTAL improvement over the current/crappy state of iOS notifications (for people that use iOS as their daily driver) that it just feels light-years better than it actually is.

Agreed. I actually like our iPad a lot, but also have an Android phone and the lack of a proper back button absolutely drives me absolutely crazy when I'm using it. Much like having a 2-button mouse and/or scroll wheel (very apt comparison given that we're talking about Apple) you instantly get used to having that

What's even more impressive about this post is that he wrote the entire thing from a touchscreen-only Android phone

It may be inconsistent sometimes, but I'm at least glad to have the OPTION of a back button. I like our iPad a lot, but not having a proper back button drives me insane sometimes.

Agreed. I think it's all about the marketing for WP7. I actually liked the first commercials they did for WP but it was just too generic and wasn't nearly as impactful as the first Droid ads which pretty much single-handidly put the entire Android platform on the map. Granted, MS is going after a broader audience

I still prefer our iPad due to the sheer volume of great apps for it. But having said that after buying a Nook Color just for kicks I have to say the Android experience isn't nearly as bad on it as a lot of tech sites I've read seem to make it out to be. Granted I'm running Gingerbread and not Honeycomb so I don't

Indeed. 'Journalism' has become a lazy echo-chamber. Quite honestly I expect it from the blogosphere (although a lot of people randomly visiting a linked site don't realize it's that way) but it's been sad to see how mainstream news sources have increasingly gone this route.

I've only been using Google Voice for a couple weeks (finally got around to it) but apparently I've had this interface from the start.

No, but don't you see?!?! The volume buttons have moved 0.000024mm and the rocker switch appears to be made of unicorn horn!

Quite timely for me. Wasn't even aware of this device, but was about to settle for a less elegant route with a more traditional external drive. Gracias.

AT&T commercial: Check out the new Samsung Infuse and enjoy things like Netflix and Spotify while on the go.

Yeah, but if it was as big as advertised he never would've been able to stick that landing

Agreed. I got an elcheapo inflatable kayak awhile back and it's held up remarkably well. 2 minutes with a cheap battery-powered pump (or 4 sweaty minutes with a manual pump - prob 10 minutes huffing/puffing) and it's good to go. Not necessarily something you'd want to lug into the mountains but I'd trust its vinyl
