@Obi-Haiv - Given that this is Gizmodo I'm betting there's about a 90% chance John Addis already has his Nook Color running full Android. If not, he needs to turn in his featured commenter badge

Once again the entire Galaxy line of phones (if you don't count the Nexus S) gets left out. No Netflix. No Hulu. Hopefully at least Amazon will roll out their streaming app at some point (gotta figure they'll have one to thump their chest about for their upcoming tablets.)

I was going to hold out for whatever Amazon offered up, but I finally succumbed to the call of the Nook. Took all of about 10 minutes to get CM7 up and running on the SD card. Is it as good as my iPad as far as screen, speed, etc? No. But it ain't bad, especially when considering the price. And I MUCH prefer the

I figured/hoped Vizio'd be one of the first 'major' manufacturers (certainly major in their distribution partners) to hit the pivotal $299 mark. Then again they have to make almost all their money on the hardware with no eco-system backup. Oh well. Still looking like Amazon's going to have to be the game-changer

I float around 2GB most months. I'll regularly stream Pandora/etc while at the gym and on my 30 min commute. I also listen to a lot of podcasts. Most of the podcasts download off wifi overnight, but if I'm in the mood to listen to something that's not already downloaded that can easily eat up 50-100MB+ in a single

It's a good thing all these phones/apps aren't data intensive. That'd be expensive otherwise. *whew*

Bet he's wishing he'd moved the mower in the garage out of the way now

Now all we need is an appropriate liquid compliment

Listen is definitely buggy but the one thing it does do well (IMO) is UI and simplicity. I'm a heavy podcast listener and kept hearing people rave about Doggcatcher and while it works just fine it's a classic case of almost overwhelming you with options. For average joes Listen is great - albeit buggy.

Wait. Mummy Returns was bad. Doesn't Rachel Weisz in a bikini (in a chick fight no less) automatically elevate it to 3 stars?

I generally agree with his reviews most of the time. I like him. I don't $0.99 like him though. A bookmark does the same thing for free. Just like about 90% of the apps it seems these days.

Somewhere, someone is hard at work on a Nook-optimized porn site

Psh. Maverick would've done this inverted while wearing only a towel.

I wonder if they focus group test Dashboard usage with drunk people. Because if they don't, they should. Fortunately I can say their previous designs hold up nicely in that regard.

LOL!

Wait, haven't I seen this same article 3-4 times before now?

I'm holding out for the Kangaroos sandal thanks

I assumed this would be a given. And even then I assumed the actual story would be much the same as the 3G story (i.e., nowhere near as much real-world coverage and horribly weak outside the major metros.)

Oh I'm sure it'll do that. Just for portability sake though that would kind of defeat the purpose. And while I realize any sort of virtual trackpad wouldn't be as accurate it would at least be an interesting option to help ease the shift when jumping back-and-forth between the tablet and main windows interface.

I wonder if they could offer a virtual trackpad you could have the option of using when in classic Windows?
