So is this expected to be another ~$500 tablet? If so, no thanks.

I'm going to patent non-flying trees
Most of the audiobook players outside of Audible kind of suck quite honestly. The one I've used the most when trying to find something decent from LibriVox (most of the reader quality sucks) is simply called Audiobooks. Like I said though, I've had nothing but disappoint from LibriVox over the years - I'm sure…
The last I remember there was still no official ETA on a launch for the Kindle 4, but the current one launched last August-ish and that's not too far from the time-frame in which they'd most likely want to launch their new tablet offering in time for the holiday shopping season. Refreshing the e-reader along with…
Pretty smart for them to launch this sooner rather than later to try to build some market share. I have a feeling once the new Amazon devices launch a lot of e-readers and tablets (regardless of any specs) are going to get pushed to the side due to the sheer clout of Amazon and its ecosystem.
I used to be all about the custom ROM scene back in my WM days. But at some point I realized I was spending more time tinkering with the phone's functionality than I spent actually using it. On Android I've resisted the temptation to tinker too much and stuck to stock ROMs (although I am rooted for wifi tething…
I wish they could get a Samsung Epic-like device (with current gen chipset of course) on VZW to give people another solid choice for a high-end Android phone with a hardware keyboard. The Moto Droid 1/2's keyboards are ok, but nowhere near as good as the Epic's IMO. Every other high end phone on VZW is the…
I model my tactical shooter experience on the same 'positive result, but cluster%(#$ along the way' approach.
There's a whole boss fight sequence on one in Borderlands
Makes me want to play Borderlands again
If you look very carefully between some of the columns on the right you can see Ezio mugging an old lady
Agreed. Or phone cases for that matter. Not that I dropped mine in the pool when I was drunk or anything (but not drunk enough not to have it in ye ole ziploc)
Pretty sure if you can figure out how to root your phone you can figure out how to sideload an app. Hell, I honestly didn't even know the most popular one was in the Market to begin with. I just assumed carriers had banned it from their Market already.
Hearing reports from some of the people who survived the F5 in Tuscaloosa/Birmingham said that the pressure drop when it was on them was like having your head stuck in a vice. Must be pretty significant to even notice/remember such a thing when your house is literally being ripped to shreds all around you.
Indeed. I was hoping to pick up one of the new Sony SLT cameras but they're in short supply. Plus the new model (which was supposed to be announced at the start of April and likely on sale soon-ish) still hasn't even been announced yet.
Like my iPad a lot, but have been sorely tempted to also get a Nook due to price and a much more usable (IMO) size. But at this point I think I'm going to wait a little longer and see what Amazon has up its sleeve. All signs point to them getting in this space and they have a fantastic ecosystem to leverage.
But at least it'll still be bloated and slow right?
Indeed. Let's not bother putting resources behind Android as it's clearly just a fad.
I find it helps me more efficiently catalog my network of hot sales reps.
I still have some favorites that make me drop everything ('Marine Biologist' is one of the greatest episodes of any sitcom ever IMO) but actually somewhat agree.
