You’d think with all the parts-sharing within VAG that they would be able to economize more efficiently to drive costs down.

I dunno, the new Cadillac systems are very intuitive and snappy. I love that they kept dedicated static zones on the screen for lights, ADAs, HUD, HVAC and other legacy features

all its owners will have to do is create a contacts list in their Google account

Interesting how the average time spent here is 25min, or the average time to charge a modern EV to 80%. Yet I bet a majority of customers resent the idea of trading in their ICE...

“uh... Mr. Car?”

Can we stop talking about this now?

It didn’t even break a sweat

All of this just to look at an old boat through a tiny port window. Makes more sense to explore with a drone sub using VR safely on shore.

In terms of upgrading the Mk7 to keep it new, that’s very possible and what I plan on doing. Thanks to the MQB platform and huge VAG portfolio t’s easy to swap in things like a larger infotainment screen, Audi's digital cluster, OBD hacks...

Mk7 Alltrack here with 105k miles and very little issues. Don’t think I’ll be trading it in any time soon. Maybe I'm biased but genuinely think the Mk7 was peak VW

VW confirmed future models would do away with haptic buttons a while ago - I think shortly after the ID Buzz was unveiled.

If they want my attention and money, then they will build a 4-door ute; an electric Subaru Baja.

I thought this was a Boeing design?

Good luck then

Also another reason radar is important and 100% vision systems are BS

Tbe difference is Geely has them on a very loose leash to be themselves, which is why they’re the most profitable they’ve ever been as a company. Again, don’t be upset over smart and rational business decisions; at the end of the day their goal is to make money, and money they are making.

Whenever I buy a car I always trade in my current one. So I’m usually putting at least $15k down, which helps a lot. But yeah, it’s still nuts. Not long ago I remember when everything was $30-35k out the door.

But how much over MSRP are you willing to spend is the question. The only thing this has going for it IMO is the design. At the end of the day it’s still a mediocre iD4 underneath 🤷‍♂️

No disrespect but are there really that many Paul Walker fans still out there after 10 years? The guy was cool but his only claim to fame was staring in a campy movie franchise. I never understood the hype 🤷‍♂️ (plus wasn't he a pedo?)

It’s cheap because R&D was spread across Geely/Zeekr/Smart/Mercedes/Volvo. Don’t be upset over smart and rational business decisions, especially since Volvo would literally be dead if it weren’t for Geely.
