i really didnt like the book. having a hero that is too smart and doesn't really change throughout the whole book isnt compelling reading. i kept reading just to learn about the universe. its like doing a world tour with the most boring person you can think of

alot of the explaination for zombie bites turning you into a zombie was because youre getting bit by a sac of rancid decaying meat. the zombie bite is nothing special in terms of zombification. its just doses you with a lethal dose of bacteria. you probably could survive a bite with antibiotics.

I know the guy, works in a building across the street. Does some really interesting work. One of the things he likes to point out that is learning decreases in immune depleting diseases and therapies (AIDS or after cancer therapy).
