You measured the cornering grip of your X5? Yes it’s no surprise on the ponycars. They have a front biased weight distribution and suspension setup that favors sporty handling, i.e. not much weight shift to the rear on launch (except for the Demon), so not as much available traction force at launch as you would get on

Yeah, the GT with PP2 option and GT350 (and soon the GT500), and they pull in excess of 1g, compared to 0.87g of your SUV. The regular Camaro SS and PP1 Mustang still manage 1g cornering with 275s in the rear. 300+ width tires aren’t an absolute necessity for grip.

Latest widebody hellcats run 305s, and the more hipo models of the Camaro and Mustang both run 300+ width tire setups. Tire width is only part of what allows a vehicle to put power down effectively. Seen plenty of musclecars on skinny stock-looking rear tires that can put the power down because their suspension shifts

Many mid engine cars purposely have narrower tires in the front.

I have 335/25R22s all the way around on my widebody Civic.

And 100% of buyers never put enough heat in them to really be sticky so.... I am glad you are comfortable being a poser....or glad your risk of hydroplaning has increased?

That’s a more aggressive setup than most supercars... fun fact - you don’t need that much tire if the rest of the car is properly set up and not over 4,000 lbs.

It also has almost 2000 more lbs to haul around.

Those X5 tries are hugely aggressive and not just on the G05. I think maybe the top end E70 has just the widest rubber for an SUV. Everytime I see one on the road I stare with envy.

Anorexia-shaming just isn’t as popular yet. Give it time.

*Yawn*

How is saying “white men as a group are fragile” not a generalization?

Funny enough, a lot of the haters over the past few weeks have been trying to put together a campaign to convince people to go see Alita this weekend instead of Captain Marvel.

You’re beating a straw man, and I’d like to address this argument in a longer reply since I’ve seen it pop up again and again here. If misogyny were the reason for the backlash against Ghostbusters 2016 or Captain Marvel, why did the same men who don’t like these properties enjoy Wonder Woman? Why are they loving Alita

where we get annoying fanboys whining about how putting a woman in anything makes it bad.

Most people don't have a problem with whamen character bb. The "manbabies" just don't really care for brie Larsons stupid comments.

But how many times can I lawnch it before muh pahwr goes down? I gawt 20 traffic lights between me n’ muh wurk.

I’d like the Miata’s (2019) drivetrain and seats, with the 124's sheet metal. I always thought the Miata’s body curves looked a bit bizarre. I think I prefer something more traditional looking. The Fiat’s body is also slightly longer than the Mazda’s—identical wheelbase, just a bit more overhang--so it looks a bit

Shut up, you and 97% of the small sports car buying public!

Miata > Fiata
