I, unfortunately, wasn't shocked by the Red Wedding, because I was spoiled about it, in io9 comments, ahead of time. As I was with Joffrey's death and one coming up. It's my own fault, I should really just stop reading discussions of this show altogether.

I agree. I'm always a little sad that movie is hated so much. I thought it was the right amount of silly for it's source.

I'm tired of coming of age stories that are all about a boy and all the same. Especially the parts that involve their sexual/romantic journey. Let me guess, you're going to see a girl in slow motion and she's going to be mean to you at first, but then you'll win her over. And oh yeah, there are bullies too.

Yeah, it seems most likely the case. He's extremely knowledgeable about film history. His work is filled to the brim with film references. Especially Spaced. Also, why would they hire someone with their own style, only to tell them to not use their style? It happens too often.
