There are 100,000 people in hospital beds tonight due to this disease. 2,000 people are dying every day, and its trending up. “Let em die” devastates not only those people and their families, but the entire economy and stability of the place you fuckin’ live.

even though you might not die from Omicron or any other strain, that doesn’t mean you won’t have a risk of life-long medical issues as a result of catching it. that’s not a “little annoyance” to me.

You realize that part of the reason we HAVE Omicron (and Delta and all the other variants before it) is because we allowed it to spread and mutate virtually unchecked? It’s easy to say “let the unvaccinated spread it to each other, the idiots” but when their spread causes it to mutate to a point where it’s MORE deadly

Vaccinated people will most likely get Covid every year going forward, masked or not, and will feel just like they do with the yearly cold

I mean, how good is the mental health support community in Japan?  My understanding was that it’s rather hard to get help with mental health problems in Japan, or even to have your concerns be recognized.

I am terrified one of these anti-maskers or whatever is going to get in my face and I’m just gonna snap and curb stomp them. This pandemic is ruining my life, my family’s life, all our lives, and it’s their fault. For the most stupid fucking

Blues musicians, right?

As much as sporting events are so much better with big crowds, other then the occasional spitting or popcorn dumping by the occasional incel, I kind of enjoyed shows like Colbert, John Oliver and Trevor Noah without the studio audience. Kind of like how I prefer shows without a laugh track. Oliver and Colbert are

If you seriously just can’t wait to go to the cinema during the transitionary period out of a global pandemic, then you need to seriously reconsider your priorities. FFS.

it’s easy to present this as some kind of individual moral failing, but doing so actually allows it to continue. It’s not a personal failing, it’s what our society tells us to do. This is capitalism, baby. Consider: a better lawyer costs more money. Everyone knows rich people can get away with more. The long and short
